I am a Design Researcher, currently appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Design and also as an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology), Korea.

 

My research lies in the intersections between Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and AI. In my research, I aim to inspire designers, engineers, and domain experts to design more thoughtful and empowering relationships between humans and everyday intelligent systems. I leverage human-centered and critical design approaches to unfold human perception of emerging intelligent technologies, address human values in tech-driven innovations, and demonstrate alternative futures of human-computer relationships. I have a special interest in leveraging emerging technologies for personal health, growth, and well-being.

 

Before my current position, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology (2022-2024) and also at the Department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology (2019-2022). I hold Ph.D. in Industrial Design from KAIST, South Korea, where I received my BSc and MSc. During my PhD, I was supervised by Youn-kyung Lim and conducted various research projects as a member of the Creative Interaction Design Lab.
