• Welcome!

I am a Human-Computer Interaction designer, currently working as a postdoc researcher in the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft in the Netherlands. In my research, I aim to inspire designers and engineers to build more thoughtful and mutually empowering everyday intelligent systems by unfolding how people perceive smart technologies, developing design methodologies for addressing human values, and demonstrating alternative futures of human-computer relationships. I am especially interested in leveraging smart technologies for personal health, growth, and well-being.

Before joining TU Delft, I was a postdoc researcher of the Future Everyday group in the Department of Industrial Design at TU/e, and have been researching and teaching aesthetics and ethics in human-AI interaction.

I earned my Ph.D. in Industrial Design at KAIST, South Korea, where I received my B.S. and M.S. as well. My Ph.D. research was supervised by Youn-kyung Lim and I conducted various research projects as a member of Creative Interaction Design Lab. During my Ph.D., I had my internship in the Human-Computer Interaction Group at Microsoft Research Asia and was mentored by Darren Edge.
